September Spotlight

Tim McDonald and Bob Scott

Alexander Valley Healthcare (AVH) is thrilled to announce a generous and impactful gift of $100,000 to the Health & Wellness Center campaign from Tim McDonald and Bob Scott.

And, in addition to this generous pledge, Tim and Bob have designated AVH as a beneficiary of their estate! This planned gift will have a transformational impact on the future of AVH, ensuring the long-term success of the new Health & Wellness Center and AVH’s work in expanding access to healthcare throughout our region.

Tim and Bob are well-known in Cloverdale for their deep commitment to the community. Bob served on the founding board of La Familia Sana and as treasurer for the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center for many years. Tim has also been highly involved, serving on the Executive Committee of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin and the Wetzel Award Committee for the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Sonoma County. Notably, Tim served on the AVH Board of Directors for six years, concluding his tenure as Chair.

Today, they continue to give back to the community as Reverend and Deacon, respectively, of Good Shepherd Church. Their dedication to community service is evident not only through their time and talents but also through their generous financial contributions.

AVH is grateful for the support of these community leaders and friends. Thank you Tim and Bob!

BRINGING ESSENTIAL SERVICES TO OUR PATIENTS

On Wednesday, September 4, AVH welcomed the Alinea Mobile Mammogram Unit to our Tarman Medical facility. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of AVH staff Brianna Ketzer (center) and Luisa Rodriguez (right), patients who required mammogram services were personally contacted and scheduled for their screenings. Brianna and Luisa also made sure to accommodate walk-in appointments, ensuring more women had access to this vital service. In our rural area, many patients face barriers to healthcare such as limited access to transportation or the difficulty of taking time off work to travel for preventative screenings. By partnering with Alinea and Partnership Health, (Daisy Contreras, left) AVH was able to bring this life-saving service directly to our community. Early detection through screenings can save lives!
